Hair Cuts For Homeless is an amazing charity founded by Stewart Roberts. Stewart and his amazing team of volunteers give free haircuts to people who are unfortunately homeless, helping to bring some joy into their lives and a smile to their faces.

Why I do haircuts 4 homeless?

Throughout my time being a hairdresser and barber, I have gained many years of industry experience. One of my favourite things about what I do is bringing my clients’ visions to life by helping them achieve their desired looks.

To a lot of people, a haircut is a big part of who they are as a person as it helps to shape their face and express their personality and style.  Additionally, it helps to keep our hair looking healthy and is a part of many people’s regular maintenance routines.

However, for others, a haircut has to be missed. With a number of people not being able to afford such a luxury that many of us can sometimes take for granted. So when the opportunity came up to make a difference in people’s lives, who don’t get to experience a lot of luxuries many of us are so lucky to have I didn’t think twice about it!

I noticed there were more and more people who were unfortunately homeless and I wanted to do my bit to help. With hairdressing being what I know I decided to get in touch with the Salvation Army and they told me about this project “Haircuts For Homeless” and I decided to volunteer.

Having the amazing opportunity to regularly volunteer for Hair Cuts 4 Homeless has allowed me to bring a little bit of joy back into people’s lives. Allowing them to express their style and personality, which can go a long way for many who are struggling.

It's not just about a haircut, it's about listening, putting a smile back on their faces, no judgements, and just having a friendly chat. It can help make people feel good about themselves and show that people do care. I also believe it significantly helps their self-esteem.

In 2024 the charity will celebrate its 10th year and I want to say a massive thank you to Stewart Roberts and the team for the amazing work they do. Please like share and follow their pages and donate to this amazing cause.
